It is the mission of business education to familiarize students to the business environment. A fundamental part of the curriculum is to provide occupational competencies that allow individuals to obtain a job. Business education is structured for the student to do the following:
- Explore business-related careers
- Prepare for organizing and managing a business
- Develop skills in technology that can be applied in a business environment
- Refine business and personal ethics
- Apply skills in communications, decision making, and critical thinking at the business level
Two paths are available to the students at Lawton-Bronson. Each strand consists of 6 semester hours. Upon completion of the strand, each student will recieve a certificate and recognition for his or her accomplishment. Students also have the opportunity to earn a concentration. A concentration consists of 3 out of the 6 semester hours.
